The Choir turned out in force for an event in our Musical Director's garden in Wymeswold, Leicestershire on Sunday 22nd May.

This was an invitation event under the National Garden Scheme (NGS). Members from 5 singing groups attended. 61 singers and friends from across Leicestershire enjoyed the 2 gardens open for the event. There were plants to buy, questions to ask and then a magnificent spread of cake and beverages to consume. For the last hour we sang all together and as groups to round off a lovely event. The event finished with a resounding version of Helen Yeomans song 'We got all the love' sung by the wild pond and with a back drop of beautiful Leicestershire countryside. More than £474 was raised in the afternoon for the benefit of NGS charities.

A huge thank you from the NGS to all of you who contributed to the afternoon. Special thanks are due to Sui and Meriel and all those that helped with the refreshments.

Thanks to Global Harmony from Melton Mowbray, Leicester Amika Choir and the Square Mile Choir (SMILERS!) from Leicester city, Harmonic Voices from Burbage and Ten2 Singers from Hinckley.

The 'Smilers' in action.. well as looking after the catering....

...and here is a big thank you from the receivers of your contribution to NGS funds,,
